surprisingly helpful
I loathe traditional exercise/fitness routines and was on the lookout for something I could stick to, wasn’t boring or painful, (yay, non-optimal muscular skeletal system), and could be scaled a bit to my needs.
I took a chance, bought an annual subscription and dove in. What I like is that this works in conjunction with my apple watch tracked monitors and offers a simple “go, girl go” style form of encouragement.
I’ve been using it for about six weeks and only take breaks when I’m sick or the joints protest too much. My goal is to continue to tweak time and difficulty higher as things go.
Fun and efffective
Love this app. I set reminders for the work day. It makes me more vigilant about improving my mobility.

Good for Light intensity
I just recovered from two ER trips and am undergoing medical evaluation from cardiologist. I feel like this app has light intensity friendly workouts for those who can not do hard cardio/brisk walks.

So cute, so helpful!
You need to try it. The video actors are so fun, and it is such a completely simple way to move more in your day. I’ve been using it for about three weeks now, and I love it. Every morning when I get to the office, I set the timer to start prompting me every 30 minutes, and I do 1-3 minutes. I realized today that long after one of the little sessions, I was still dancing my feet under my desk. So it isn’t just getting me moving for a few minutes, it’s keeping me moving through to the next prompt too! Love it. Between Wakeout and Water Llama, my day is full of cute and fun healthy energy!
Great app! Replaced Bend.
Being a night shift nurse for more than 20 years has its perks, including plenty of downtime. I love how accessible it is from anywhere! I signed up right away and really regret not doing it sooner. Huge thanks to the developers for this amazing app! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾. I used to be a loyal Bend user, but this has won me over. Turning 50 this year, and this is just what I needed to keep up with my intentional lifestyle.
Amazing
I am really loving this app. It’s easy to use, and really encourages me to get more active. The videos are simple and I can follow along with their exercises and I love that it keeps me from doomscrolling too much. So happy with this app!

Love this app
I’ve been using this for a couple of years now and it has been a game changer for my health. I’m in my late 40s and wish I had this many years ago. Great concept to keep people moving throughout the day in a fun way. Excellent variety of movements. Love the option to do a quick 30 seconds or a longer session. Also great design. Fun. Intuitive. Flexible. And I am surprised that is enjoy the music too (though I sometimes turn off so I can listen to a podcast or a virtual meeting).

Highly recommended
I have been in PT and used a lot of movement apps. I do yoga regularly, and I have never found an app that gives such smart, unique, safe moves. I never feel like this app is asking me to do something that is unsafe or that would cause pain, and I always feel stretched and renewed after a 5 minute segment. This is one of the few apps I have on auto-renew, and it’s truly exceptional.

Gets me to move, worth every penny!
It hits the sweet spot for me. Bite-size movements, educational motivation, and a good mix of annoying/encouraging. 😄
I don't like subscriptions, but this one is an exception.
Needs a free version :(
I really want to love this app but as a burnt out college student who struggles to find time to workout this app would have been my favorite if there was a free version. I can’t afford to pay . Or at least have a one time payment option

Amazing app to break up sedentary desk work…and more!
I’ve been using Wakeout for a couple of years now to break up butt-in-chair hours. The exercises are flat fun, and so diverse there is always so much to try. The music supports the energizing nature of the exercises.
And Wakeout recently added so many new physical exercises and brain energizing routines. I really like being able to choose how long I want the Wakeout to last, and can adapt any of the exercises to my physical ability. The integrated timer
helps me structure a non-work day so that I can work in bursts of activity in between sedentary bouts of studying, reading, housework.
Some days I ramp up some of the more challenging routines to 20 minutes and do a couple of rounds of these to count towards a daily workout.
And the price…amazingly affordable for all that you get in Wakeout.

The movement app I’ve always wanted
I wish I found this sooner. Didn’t realize it’s been in existence since early COVID days. As someone with a history of all-or-nothing thinking problems, I’d exercise a bunch and then not at all. As part of my intuitive eating journey and healing my relationship with food, I’ve also had to heal my relationship with movement. I’d be so extreme about it but now I am more nuanced about it and this app is so perfectly aligned with where I want to be with daily movement.
I’d say this app is also very ADHD friendly! I was diagnosed this year and now understand where my novelty seeking, easily bored, and overstimulated brain comes from. This app lowers the barrier of entry to move more often. As someone who works remotely and sits much of the day, this app is truly a life saver. And it’s fun too! Earning Wakeout watts which feels like imaginary points in a game is oddly so rewarding. I love the variety of workouts and that you can even do as short as 30 seconds if you’re really struggling. I have a lot of fun with it and just went for the annual subscription after 2 months of consistent and daily use. I pause on the weekends so I don’t stress about it but love it during the week to get me going. I also love that perfection isn’t the goal - you may have long meetings that go past an hour and you can’t get away from but you can still meet your movement goals later. There’s not prize for moving every hour since you just need to move enough (both in volume and frequency) to hit your goal each day. I love the stretch goal too for added motivation. I feel like I’m always winning with this app and appreciate the developers so much!! Thank you for making this app and continuing to update it so thoughtfully with new moves.
You have to pay or you can’t access it
It’s crazy that there isn’t even a free option, either you get it or you don’t smh. Oh but don’t worry they give you a 7 day free trial

Dopamine hits and health! A perfect combo!
This feels more like a game than a workout app. I work 10+ hours a day at my desk and I know how bad that is for me. I’ve tried many (MANY!) apps that claim to get me up and incentivize me to move, but they’ve never worked. This is the first one that makes me want to take that break. The workouts are fun, but don’t let the short time and seemingly easy movements fool you. Some can be quite challenging! I like that it has a range from mobility and stretching to strength to endurance. Getting older, mobility and stretching are becoming more important, and more challenging, too.
What I love best is that there are additional incentives like power hour and theme packs, and more. It’s like a health slot machine where you get notified of a boost. I’ll tell you, that’s what gets me moving! I love that I can choose short or longer durations. It can really be customized, and so far, it’s not gotten boring or annoying. I actually want to get those nudges now. I love it and never thought the small breaks would be welcomed, let alone fun. I know it’s good for my health to be frequently mobile, but now I’m not doing it because I have to, but because I want to. Wakeout keeps it fresh!
Great for the whole family
I tried this app for myself as someone who was working in an office setting which became limiting to my movement. But I have found it to be helpful for mental health and mood as well. I have adhd as does my daughter and this app is very engaging in a way that others are not. They have real people and a variety of activities, settings, and duration which my daughter found interesting at first glance even after initially feeling like I was going to make her be active as an chore. It is very hard to hold her attention but now she's looking forward to it. This app is versatile in practice and how you can use it to work for your own needs.
Great App
This app is a lifesaver that’s helping me to improve my mobility and balance, relieve stress and help with pain issues. I love the choices offered as to coaching style (the Pirate is really fun!) and the variety of exercises and movements. I also love the ability to choose different focus areas to help me concentrate. Thank you, developers, for a wonderful app!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Simple and Helpful
With a desk job I simply needed some help to do some movements that provided a bit of exercise throughout my work day. This has been very helpful to just stay more mobile. The options that this app has available are simple and effective for a quick one minute movement to a longer period of time. Each of the movements are simple and even one minute of movement just gets me out of just staring at the computer screen. Love it.

A app the really motivates you
I have been trying to find a good app that will motivate me to move more. And this is my favorite so far. So worth it!
Get. This. App. Seriously!
When I got this app, I was doing the little free trial. I was enjoying the app and was into it. I wasn’t going to extend my subscription, because of my lack of motivation to actually get up, and do a quick little energizing movement when the app would periodically tell me to throughout the day. BUT when they updated the app, and introduced the ‘Active Pass App Rewards’ as a new feature, I decided to keep the app, and pay the subscription. Since I already enjoyed the app… and let me say that Wakeout, for real, has TONS of different types of exercises, stretches, cardio, yoga, etc. It also doesn’t matter if you’re only able to do these ‘energy boost’ movements/exercises/stretches while you’re in your car, sitting at your desk, have very little space, whatever… Wakeout has got you covered! And for however much time you want to commit to, whether it be 30 seconds or 30 minutes….. when I read about the new ‘Active Pass’ feature being added, I figured I’d give Wakeout a shot. I wasn’t previously using the app as it was intended, not because I didn’t enjoy the the app… I’d just end up sticking to whatever else I ‘had to get done,’ or ‘needed to do right now,’ during my busy day. I hope I’ve made sense throughout my review (lol), because Wakeout really is a great app! Especially for those of us that need that little extra ‘message’ to get our attention. Thank you so much to all who have put their time and effort into creating such a neat, and effective, app! I appreciate each of you.😊
Great app for preventing sitting sickness
I love this app. Reminds me to get up and move on regular basis while working, reminds me to hydrate, reminds me to give my eyes a break from the screen. I love that I can set the amount of time I have to do a quick workout. Accessible options for those with limited mobility. Totally worth the small yearly investment.
