Privacy Policy

Wakeout LLC · Last updated: October 6, 2026

This policy explains what data Wakeout LLC (“Wakeout”, “we”) handles in the Wakeout for ChatGPT plugin, the Wakeout app and the Wakeout Chrome extension, why, who else sees it and how long we keep it. Questions or requests: hello@wakeout.co.

Wakeout for ChatGPT

The plugin plays a short guided movement break inside ChatGPT. It needs no account and no sign-in, and it has nothing to buy.

Data we receive

  • Break details ChatGPT sends when it starts a break: a short description of the break you asked for (written by ChatGPT, for example “quick energizing break”), whether you asked to sit or stand, what the break should help with (for example neck, energy or focus), the language you're writing in, and the length, if you asked for one.
  • Anonymous usage events from the plugin: a random identifier the plugin creates and keeps in its own storage on your device, plus events such as a break being shown, started, finished or closed early, which pack it was, how many moves were completed, your running totals of breaks and moves, and taps on the plugin's buttons. The identifier is not linked to your name, email, OpenAI account or conversation.
  • Technical data: like any website, our servers see standard request information such as IP address and time of request.

We do not receive your name, email address, OpenAI account details or your ChatGPT conversation. Your conversations with ChatGPT are governed by OpenAI's privacy policy. We do not collect health records, payment information, precise location or contact lists.

How we use it

  • To choose and play the right break for you, in your language.
  • To understand, in aggregate, how the plugin is used (for example how many breaks are finished) and improve it.
  • To keep the service secure and fix problems.

We don't build profiles of people, we don't use this data for advertising, and we never sell it.

Who else processes it

  • Railway hosts the plugin's server.
  • Amazon Web Services (CloudFront) delivers the exercise videos.
  • PostHog stores the anonymous usage events so we can count them.

These providers process data only to provide their service to us.

How long we keep it

Server logs, which contain break details and technical data, are deleted automatically within 30 days. Usage events are anonymous and not linked to you, so there is no personal profile to keep.

Your choices

  • You can stop using the plugin at any time by removing it from ChatGPT.
  • Your break and move totals live in the plugin's storage on your device; clearing ChatGPT's site or app data removes them and the random identifier.
  • For any question or request about your data, write to hello@wakeout.co.

Children

The plugin runs inside ChatGPT, which is not intended for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children.

The Wakeout app

The Wakeout app uses Sign in with Apple and stores your name and, if you share it, your email to run your account; it uses anonymous usage analytics and optional Apple Health and Screen Time integrations whose data stays protected as described in our app terms and privacy details. Health data is never sold, shared or used for advertising. You can delete your data from inside the app.

Wakeout for Chrome

The Chrome extension needs no account and keeps your statistics in your browser. It uses basic anonymous analytics to know whether it works and is used. Details are in the Chrome section of our terms.
