# Movement Games You Play With Your Body > Wakeout turns your phone camera into a controller: reach, duck, punch and row through one and two minute games, seated or standing, no headset. New in Wakeout 11 for iPhone and iPad. - **Canonical URL:** https://wakeout.app/movement-games - **Published:** 2026-09-16 (Wakeout 11) - **Platforms:** iPhone and iPad (front camera). Included in Wakeout Pro, which starts with a free week. - **No headset, no controllers, no accessories.** The phone camera reads the player's hands, head and joints on-device with Apple Vision. Nothing is uploaded. ## What it is Wakeout movement games are short (one to two minute) exercise games played with the body instead of a controller. The player props up an iPhone or iPad, steps back, raises both hands to start, and the game asks for real movements: reaching for targets with a specific hand, ducking under a bar, punching upward, rowing with both arms. Every successful move earns Watts, the app's unit of movement, and a finished round counts toward the player's daily goal like any other Wakeout. ## The three games ### Wattrobics (whole body, 2 minutes) Reach, duck, dodge, catch. Targets light up for your hands, head, knees and elbows. Hit them as fast as you can, duck the red bar, dodge the wall. The game grows every time you step back. - **How to play:** Hit the targets with the body part they ask for, as fast as you can, and collect the Watts. Duck and dodge when the bars come. - **Grows as you play:** Up close it is hands and head. Seated adds arms and elbows. Standing adds knees and hips, and full body adds kicks and jumps. - **Clip:** https://wakeout.app/videos/games/wattrobics.mp4 (poster: https://wakeout.app/images/games/wattrobics.jpg) ### Watt Invaders (arms and hips, 1 minute) Sway to steer, punch up to fire. Two cannons, one per arm. Steer the ship with your head or your hips, punch up to fire, punch faster to fire faster. One minute, as many waves as you can clear. - **How to play:** Steer the ship side to side with your head or your hips. Punch up to fire. Each arm is its own cannon. - **Grows as you play:** Waves get thicker and faster as your level climbs. Bombs, bigger invaders, and less time to think. - **Clip:** https://wakeout.app/videos/games/invaders.mp4 (poster: https://wakeout.app/images/games/invaders.jpg) ### Watt Rapids (arms and shoulders, 1 to 2 minutes) Row upstream. Grab the Watts, dodge the rocks. Reach up and pull down to row. Both arms go straight, one arm turns. Grab the Watts, dodge the rocks and logs, and try to keep your rhythm when the river does not. - **How to play:** Control the oars with your hands. Reach up and pull down to row, one arm at a time to steer. Grab the Watts, miss the rocks. - **Grows as you play:** Rounds get longer and the river gets busier as you level up. More Watts to grab, more rocks in the way. - **Clip:** https://wakeout.app/videos/games/rapids.mp4 (poster: https://wakeout.app/images/games/rapids.jpg) ## How a round goes 01. **Prop up the phone.** Lean it on a shelf, a laptop, a stack of books. The front camera is the whole setup. 02. **Step back, raise both hands.** That is the start button. The game reads how much of you it can see and picks moves that are fair from there. 03. **Play a round.** One or two minutes. Reach, duck, punch, row. Every catch is Watts toward your day. 04. **Watch the replay.** The best stretch of your round, with the sound. Send it to whoever needs to see you dodge a wall. ## Framing: seated is a level, not a limit The game detects how much of the player the camera can see and only asks for moves that are fair from there. It never pushes the player to stand; stepping back simply adds moves. - **Up close:** Plays great right here at the desk. Hands and head are in play. - **Seated:** Arms and head. Elbows and punches join in. - **Standing:** Knees and hips are in. One more step back for kicks. - **Full body:** Everything is in play. This is the one that winds you. ## FAQ **Do I have to stand up to play?** No. Every game plays seated, right at the desk, with your hands and head. Stepping back lets the game see more of you, and the moves grow with it: elbows, then knees and hips, then kicks. The game never pushes you to stand. It just gets bigger when you do. **What does the camera do with the video?** Everything runs on your phone. The camera feed is read by Apple Vision on the device to find your hands, head and joints, and it is never uploaded anywhere. The only video that leaves your phone is the replay you choose to share, and you choose that after the round. **Do the games count as a Wakeout?** Yes. Every catch earns Watts, and a finished round counts toward your daily goal and your active day, exactly like a video Wakeout would. The games are generous with Watts on purpose. **What do I need to play?** An iPhone or iPad with Wakeout 11 or later, somewhere to prop it, and a little room in front of it. No headset, no controllers, no accessories. Six feet of floor gets your whole body in the game, but the desk works too. **Are the games included?** The movement games are part of Wakeout Pro, which starts with a free week. One subscription covers iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch. **Is it actually exercise?** A round of Wattrobics is two minutes of reaching, ducking and dodging with your whole body. A full-body round gets your heart going. You are usually laughing too hard to notice, which is the point. ## Related - [Wakeout home](https://wakeout.app/) - [Desk exercises with video](https://wakeout.app/desk-exercises) - [Movement reminder app](https://wakeout.app/movement-reminder-app) - [Pricing](https://wakeout.app/pricing) - iOS app: https://apps.apple.com/app/apple-store/id1242116567
